Playbark (3.15 cubic metres)

This playbark is widely used and suitable for making your ground softer underneath play equipment such as climbing frames, swings, slides and even your DIY projects such as a tree house or den.

The play bark surfacing that is supplied is a well-graded, pine bark based loose impact absorbing surface material. Particularly suitable for use on playgrounds where the children are up to 6 years old as it will absorb the impact for this size and weight well - but ultimately a softer landing for any age.

1. Measure the footprint of your climbing frame in metres. E.g 5m x 6m
2. Add 1.5m all the way around your frame for a safe fall area and add this to your dimensions. In our example: 8m x 9m
3. Multiply the length of the area by the width of the area:. In our example 8m x 9m = 72 square metres
4. Decide on the depth you require the bark to be. We recommend a minimum of 20cm
5. Multiply the area you want to cover by the depth. In our example 72 x 0.2 = 14.4 cubic metres
6. Divide by 3.15 then round up to the nearest whole number. In our example this would be 5, so you need to order 5 lots in total.
