Very simple to put together. Holes are predrilled with a countersunk head, allowing for simply screwing each panel together. The timber is a good quality, but will benefit from oiling. This isn't ikea - the house is made of real wood and has a good quality about it. Our 2 year old absolutely loves it. We also bought the wooden floor and it makes a difference by making the interior feel fully timber. We didn't decorate it because we like the natural wood feel.
