7 and 5 year oldsm I wish I HAD bought the 1.5 , but time will tell.
I think it was easy to construct and the pit is strong and the wood smooth. The under cloth looks good as it is wide enough to collect the sand which will inevitably spill out.

DB Really pleased we bought this lid to go with the sand pit - if its not raining, it works well to keep out any cats or foxes, and when raining, we put the sandpit cover underneath the lid and it works well to keep the cover in place and keep the sand dry.
The Hexagonal Sandpit wooden lid is designed specifically for a 1.5m Hexagonal Wooden sandbox (model 2014 onwards), this sturdy lid can be an extra level of protection for your sandpit or even used as a table when the sandpit is not in use. The lid is in two sections making it easy to take on and off, it is also possible to fold back half the lid if you would prefer using half of the sandpit. While protecting your sandpit this cover also gives it a really nice finish with its natural wood finish.
